Bab 36 : Frederico Collignon . the next legend

HOME: Liege, Belgium
POSITION: Forward
SHOT: European Style Front-Pin
MAJOR TITLES: 24

Since first joining the American pro tour in 1996, Belgian great Frederic Collignon has been one of the driving forces behind the advancement of the sport in the new millenium. His amazing quickness and superior "head game", along with an uncanny ability to perform best when the stakes are highest, have helped this sixteen time world champion earn a reputation as perhaps the greatest player to ever walk the planet. "Frederico", whose sixteen world wins have all come within the past seven years, has utilized his dancing, multi-option "euro-pin" to win 24 major titles here in America on the Tornado tour, while also reigning supreme in tournaments held on the European continent.

"Rico" is the only male player to ever triple at the World Championships more than once and he has done it in Dallas on three seperate occasions, in 2000, 2002, and 2004. He also won three times, including Masters Singles, at the 2002 Nationals in Atlanta.

Collignon's ability to win close games is legendary. If it's 4-4 and the game is on the line, he always seems to rise to the occasion, serving, passing, and scoring the game-winning ball by elevating his game to yet another level. In 1998 Collignon permanently paired-up with American foos-legend Todd Loffredo, and proceeded to win 7 of the next 8 world doubles titles. In 2002, his greatest season on the Tornado tour, Frederic competed in 8 of that year's 10 major finals, winning six, to further cement his status as the game's most succesful current performer.

p/s:He is the target of every single fooser!
